Slow Boot Macbook Pro late 2011

I installed a Sandisk SSD Plus 120gb into my macbook pro backed up old hdd time machine to external installed new ssd and restored time machine reset smc and pram it takes 1:40 to boot into OSX also I have tried to play Euro Truck sim 2 and Construction Simulator 2015 on lowest graphics settings and it lags bad that it is unplayable, attached are specs of my system anyone able to help why boot is slow and should my MBP be able to play these games smooth thanks.

Quick question, was it faster and did the games play with the old hard drive before you installed the SSD?

I never timed the boot with normal hdd so can't remember sorry and games were still slow should have put as 2 separate questions sorry I guess the second q should be should they run smooth on my system.

is it because I restored from Time Machine backup instead of clean install of OSX or wouldn't that matter?

I put the SSD in my other Macbook Pro mid 2009 2.8ghz Core 2 Duo with 4gb ram and it booted in 28 secs, any idea why my newer more powerful Macbook Pro is taking longer to boot?

My Mac Book Pro has never been a fast machine,it in no way match's any of my four other Windows computers.

So, it really sounds like it is a software problem, not hardware. I'd put it back in the MBP and startup using Safe mode. Safe mode disables third-party extensions and does some hard drive repairs. To start in Safe mode, hold the shift key immediately after the gong sound, and hold it until you can tell it's starting in Safe mode. Safe mode takes a Looong time to boot because of the drive repairs.

Compare how things run generally, then restart normally. Any improvement after?

I am, no doubt, well known for my anti Time Machine stance and would think the problem may lay right there. The operating system may be inhereting the old slow platter disk problems. Far better to do a clean install and just transfer anything across you may have needdd.

I feel the less Apple stuff you use, on an Apple system the better off you are.

I would ensure you have an up to date backup, then erase the SSD and do a clean install of El Capitan and setup. Do not migrate in from your TM backup. Then check the boot time. If still slow consider replacing the hard drive cable, as I've seen so many different quirky problems that they can cause.

Thanks for the suggestions guys before I try a clean install I may have found the problem and think its hardware related I downloaded the Intel Power Gadget to check CPU Clock speed I opened Euro Truck Simulator 2 which should use a lot of CPU the voltage didn't increase nor did CPU clock speed I've tried doing other things and still stays at 0.80 ghz might have to head to the hardware forum.

I have tried Smc reset and Pram doesn't help.

Where is this activity monitor for the Mac? I find it for iPhone and iPad but not for the Mac?
