I have recently had a "Factory reset" performed on my Macbook Pro - all downloads were wiped including Skype. I have reinstalled the most up-to-date version (7.2.412), but had forgotten my password. I reset it (remembered my user ID at least) - this was accepted as changed by Skype via email, however I am still unable to log in using the new password as Skype doesn't recognise my details. It's not the first issue I've had with Skype and this particular conundrum. Any ideas gratefully received...
