I had this problem before and some one helped me fix it. I've got only selected sound coming out of my mac. iTunes is fine, music on a web page doesn't work, Halo is palying without sound, etc. Apparantly i have to change the output freq in Audio/midi set up app, which I've tried. This time it didn't work. I've been using Recycle today, in another user account i have set up on my iMac for music production. Could that have caused it?
Thanks
Sim

Yes I did. Recycle was annoying me so I open up Audacity just to have a look. Didn't open any files but fiddled a round a bit.
Was that it?

Audacity has done that to my iMac G5 and my G4 DA many times. I switched to Amadeus. It costs a bit but works great and does not cause any issues.

Great info dtravis, although I've never had this curious problems, it's cool for you guys to show us your experiences here.

Thanks a lot, i'll look into it. I'm going to start a new thread about sound editors, just to see what people think. I really like the look and feel of recycle but have some issues.
