Sign in to iTunes Store

After entering my four digit Passcode on my iPhone 5 the main screen appears. I am then asked to Sign in to iTunes Store. I do not want to sign in every time I switch on my phone. I will decide when I want to sign in This problem has only just occurred. My question how do I get rid of this annoying message which is nagging me everytime I switch on. I am currently very reluctant to update to iOS 8. My thanks in advance and I am very grateful for any help that can be given.

That isn't normal behaviour. The easiest way to get rid of it is of course to correctly sign in to the iTunes Store -- you might be getting this message because you mistyped your last sign-in. If you have signed in correctly (you can tell because you'll be able to buy something from the store, say a free app), then it shouldn't ask you again.
