Shopping for new tv...any 40-42" tv recommendations?

Hi. I'm hoping for some information about whether it will matter what tv I purchase as to the compatibility with Apple TV. I want to be able to stream Netflix. We are looking at the $700 or under price range and LED or LCD...not 3D. 40-42". If you don't have specific recommendations...even some recos about how to research this would be appreciated. Thanks!
