I don't especially like or dislike shaving but I am one of the people with extremely slow growing facial hair! (Best thing about this is that expensive razor blades are not on my shopping list too often).

This means to look smooth and clean shaven I perhaps only need to shave twice a week but can go for a good 10 to 14 days without a shave and even then I don't look as unshaven as other in my family after a single day of not chaving :)

I do think I'm quite lucky there - but there have been times when I really fancied trying the facial hair look - and it just takes so long and I start lucking a bit like a vagrant with little tuffs (is that a word) of hair on my face and neck - I have to admit defeat and shave it all off again :(

But to the point - when I do shave I tend to wet shave using an old Mach3 (with new blades of course) - I usually shave before I go in the shower.

I used to use a fushion razor and i hated shaving... Now i use a DE saftey razor and its much better and blades are dirt cheap so I shave every day.

Watch this youTube video on how to use this different shaving method which is much much better. If you want even more shaving tips Check this guys video's out.

If you are even more of a fenatic check out Badger and bade Forum which is a big forum just about shaving.

I don't get enough growth to warrant shaving more than once a month. Yeah, I'm 22 but no proper beard.

I'm 14 and I've only shaved a few times because I get this weird mustache every once in a while, and I used my brother's fusion.

I shave once a day with a cutthroat blade. Cause nothing else works for me. I have to have it clean for my job.

I rarely bother; it only grows a little, and very thin and far-between... but it grows quickly.

So I either shave every day, or just leave it and have patchy facial hair that looks like I'm trying to grow a beard and can't. I go the lazy route (I haven't shaved in months).

When I do though, it's a Wilkinson Sword Classic. None of this "look, 3 blades..." "well our new one has 4!" "I knew you'd do that; introducing the new 5 bladed razor! and it vibrates!" nonsense where the blades cost a fortune. I don't want an MP3 player in my razor, and I don't need a detachable display that tells me I'm brushing my teeth wrong!

I'd use a straight razor if I thought I could use it without killing myself.

I shave every other week and in the mean time I look like I am trying to grow a beard, but in fact to lazy to shave it. I was using the free one I got from Gillette for a while then I got a free vibrating one and I was using that(which doesnt work any better BTW). And this year I got an electric Remington. my Mom got it for at a Salvation Army NIB for $16.99. I checked at Target, new it is $80. The Salv. Army always get the surplus target stuff.

I've always wanted a good ol' straight-razor, hot-towel barber shave, in a real barber shop — not a "stylist" shoppe — with huge, old reclining chairs with ashtrays in the handles and razor strops hanging from them, and tattered Police Gazettes in magazine stands, though the Police Gazettes aren't mandatory. A cigar might be, though.

But I'm afraid that while I'm reclined in the huge chair with a hot towel on my face, a Hudson Super Six will screech to a stop at the curb, and two guys wearing double-breasted suits, wide ties and spats will jump out, run inside the barber shop and shoot me with two Tommy guns.

So I've never done it.

Judging by your avatar, it looks like you haven't shaved in years! And what's this talk of hair far in between? Looks like a thick growth to me :D

I hate shaving as much as the next guy. I started growing a goatee back in December to eliminate most of the shaving process and to have a new look. But I have a question for you gentlemen...
I have dry, peeling skin on the mustache area - even before growing the goatee. Anyone have this problem and have any recommendations on how to clear it? Lotions, soaps?
