Haven't received mine yet either. Order status indicates it was shipped by USPS on August 26 and should arrive today. I ordered mine about two weeks ago iirc.

Cheers!
I received an e-mail from Apple stating it had been shipped 8-30-09 via INTERNATIONAL & to expect it in 3-7 workdays. I ordered mine back in July.

Yes you could pre-order it but it wasn't schedule to be released until 8/29.

From what I've read, I think I will stick to my old Windows habits and just do a clean install, just be on the safe side. My SL upgrade disc came today, so I guess I'll see what happens. I've got a 500GB external drive via Firewire 800 using Time Machine, so data loss shouldn't be a problem. Only ran 10.5 for about 2 weeks since I got my MB Pro. Wow.

I'm getting excited, going to go to the Apple store tomorrow to pick up my copy of SL! Thanks to all of you here I have taken advice and have been prepping my mbp very thoroughly. Did my Time Machine Back up, now setting up half my terabyte drive with mac os extended journaled so that I can do a complete image with SuperDuper! Once this is complete and up and running fine, I'm going to upgrade my internal hdd with a 500gb 7200rpm.

I will report my upgrade experience as soon as I am up and running with the SL ;D

Mine arrived by USPS today. It took about 30 mins to install and reboot. I haven't launched all programs yet, but the ones I have seem to work fine. The one exception is that AppFresh disappeared.

Just set up Mail with my exchange server info and it is currently downloading my silly (7K msgs) inbox. When it's up-to-date, I'll test outgoing mail.

So far, this is incredibly smooth. Wireless connection, main printer, time capsule, apple tv, etc., all communicating smoothly.

Cheers!

Everything so far has been fantastic! Install was a breeze and 35min later I had a beautiful, new OS. Only thing so far was that it reset my custom dock back to factory settings but that was easily fixed. SL looks great so far!

I've moved back to Leopard until Apple releases an update or two to fix bugs (especially the restart issue) and application updates are released.

I see potential in Snow Leopard, but it's a work in progress.

I can open quick time X without opening any video files just fine. I even used it to record something I was doing on screen.

That's a given. People really should wait until they have version 10.6.X before updating if you don't want to deal with the bugs and instabilities.

Although I've not encountered this "restart" issue that you speak of.

I really have not encountered any Bugs with 10.6 itself. Programs that no longer run are not a bug in 10.6. Same with Printer Drivers. Come on HP, be FAIR to your Mac customers also and rewrite some drivers.

I wonder how long it will take them to update their drivers? This kind of worries me a bit because the printer that I primary use now is a HP printer. >_>" I haven't had to print anything this week for school so we will see. I have an Epson printer as back up so it's not like I'm totally screwed. >_<"

Actually, I didn't expect SL until mid to late September. I do find it interesting how the shipping dates are mixed no matter when the order was placed & shipping via USPS or INTERNATIONAL (never heard of INTERNATIONAL before has anyone else?). Bottom line is SL is on the way & when & how it gets here doesn't matter. It's a good deal.

For those of you missing iStat menus, be aware that the author of MenuMeters just released a public beta that is SL compatible. It's not quite as feature rich as iStat menus, but it works quite well.

Love it so far. I upgraded last night and everything went fine. I cloned my drive, verified/fixed permissions, verified disk, ran onyx, installed SL. The whole process took just over an hour and I got 18gb of disk space back.

I am thinking of moving to a 128gb SSD, but I am not sure if I want to go down from 320gb. I would love to try SL on an SSD though.

The best feature for me so far is Exchange 2007 support. It was a breeze to setup and is working perfectly.

I have an Intel SSD in my uni MBP, and I can say that SL runs quite well.
Xbench gives a slightly lower reading then I get on 10.5 Leo and the score appears to be dragged down by the graphic test scores.
Still it is not a big deal at least to me, my MBP is about as close as I'll ever get to an "instant-on instant-everything", I love it.

I'm upset it doesn't have support for Exchange 2003. Isn't there still more users of exchange 03' than 07'? Why not both? The iPhone can. I guess if my $2500 MBP had a 600 megahertz processor it would have Exchange 03' support also.
