Sent SMS Turn to Gibberish - Yosemite

Hello all! I can't seem to find an answer to my problem. A friend of mine who does not have a smart phone gets gibberish in her text messages I sent her when using the Messages app on my IMAC. This does not happen when I message her through my IPhone. Any help appreciated.

Try plain text if sending email type. Could be the settings of hers only receiving plain txt. Emails or similar can send html which appears like gibberish.
