Does anyone know if the issues regarding iphoto9.6 and compatibility with Yosemite have been resolved? is it okay to update iPhoto yet? thanks

There are no compatibility issues with iPhoto 9.6 and Yosemite. I have 9.6 installed with Yosemite and it works just as well as previous versions.

I haven't upgraded to iphoto 9.6 yet because i saw from reviews (over 100) that iPhoto 9.6 had too many problems in the upload. What i am trying to find out is if i am safe to upload iPhoto 9.6 into my macbook. I already have Yosemite installed. Sorry if my query was not clear.

You don't "upload" iPhoto 9.6. You actually download and install it from the Mac App store. And yes, it's safe to install as I stated above. I'm currently using it with Yosemite.

Same here, no issues whatsoever. As a matter of fact, 9.6 runs better on my machine running 10.10 than any previous incarnations of iPhoto.
