router on go slow

ok, finally got the new router workin, but now another problem it's SLOW, it doesnt seem to connect to pages or open them no where near as quick as my previous connection. any ideas pls

Can you provide some details? Here's some info that might help us to help you!

1) Type of internet connection (the company and the medium over which is travels (cable, DSL, fiber, ect)).
2) Type of router.
3) Any settings that you're altered on the router.
4) What kind of computer are you using and what kind of settings do you have for your network connection?
5) How are you connected to the router (wirelessly or wired)?

ok my provider is pipex homecall, the router is a netgear dg834pn, and i'm using a ibook G4 with ethernet cable connection thats all i know sorry, it just seems to take ages to open a page.
