I would jump all over that. parts alone are worth £90. Plus you can use known good parts from the working one to test the dead one.

Hi zeke, thats for just the PSU:)

The only infamous issue with the 7,2 and 7,3 were the faulty solder joints on the ram slots. This causes all ram to report as bad (3 blinks) I have a G5 suffering from this.

PSU is out

Well i took the psu out and the first thing i noticed was a lot of rust around the vent exhausts. There was also a massive spider that needed rehoming:Evil:

The 3rd photo shows the only fuse i can find but its soldered to the board is it possible/safe to replace it.

If so is it possible a novice like me could do it?

Test the fuse for continuity also I would clean the PSU of rust and corrosion
I use CLR and a tooth brush also Windex for the scum on the boards, You may find some connections rusted away and you can re solder them at this point you've nothing to lose.

PS we're all novice's in the beginning

Done a test on the fuse and it seems to be fine. Think I'll have to gethold of that replacement.
