remainng battery life

a 1.5 year old 2.4Ghz macbook , model#3,1
didnt get much use when i first got it but the last year or so its constantly with me.

i run the IStat widget, cycles=223/ health=53
mostly on the charger running wifi and fair amount of processing for what i do, the battery lasts maybe 40min -> hour. it gets hot. the macbook pro seems to charge runs ok.

what's been you guys experience with battery life on a macbook pro

Batteries need exercise just like you and me. Seriously. Check for posts on things like battery reconditioning. There are suggestions there on how to try to massage it back to a longer runtime.

Remember, too that AP and BT and a fully lit display suck a lot of juice.

And also, batteries shouldn't really be expected to last more than a couple of years, so don't panic too much if it starts to trail off now.
