Hi,
I'm fairly new to OSX and I have a problem with my external backup drive.
I have an external hard drive that was partitioned - 1 in NTFS and 1 in FAT32. I was trying to use Disk Utility to convert the FAT32 partition to Mac's file system. I think I have inadvertently erased the data on the entire hard drive even though it seemed it was only going to erase the FAT32 portion.
Does anyone know how I can recover this? If OSX can't recover the NTFS partition, does anyone know how this can be done in Windows XP? I didn't have Disk Utility write zeros or anything to it so I'm hoping the data is still there, just not visible. The drive cannot be mounted in either OSX or XP now.
Your assistance is much appreciated.
Rob
