When I introduce a CD(music) in my MacBook Pro and iTunes is on, I am asked if I want to copy this CD in the library. I say yes.
Problem, it only shows track numbers in the Name column.
Is it possible to set iTunes so that it reads the names of the music, the author etc etc?
I know it can be done manually but not to import some 150 cd!!!
Thanks for your attention
With bests regards

This is interesting now!

I forgot to say that my macbook pro has tiger version and iTunes 7.
Now, I have done the same procedure with my Toshiba laptop with iTunes 7 too. As soon as the CD is in place, iTunes shows all the details of the tracks!
Anybody could explain me why this is and not in Mac?
Thanks

Ok I got it!
It does it also on the Mac provided that it is connected to my ADSL.

You figured it out: when you insert a CD, iTunes queries the Gracenote CD Database to get your track names.

You need to be connected to the Internet when you rip CDs in order to get track names.
