Don't want to throw it in the garbage. Still works, no longer need it as original intent.

I have one sitting on my desk at this very moment. It was out of service for a while but it's back. I use the drive as network storage space.

I think I used it as a range extender for my network for a while. If you have devices that only have wired ethernet connections (old tech I know) attach them to the TC and let it join your network wirelessly to provide service for them.

Thanks everybody for the useful advice. I'll try the network storage, it may be a good place for archiving?
Cheers.

I've used mine for various purposes over the years including archiving. Given the age of the hard drives in these units, I suggest either storing files on there that you don't mind losing or backing up any files that are stored there.

BTW, which model do you have? I neglected to mention that some of these units have USB ports that allow you to attach a hard drive for extra storage or an older printer that doesn't natively support network printing.

That's far newer than my model. Mine is still kicking, even after being in and out of service several times in the last few years.

It refuses to die. Of course, now that I've said that it will probably die tonight LoL
