Is it true when upgrading my ram in my powerbook that I should should use only Crucial, Samsung or Ramjet? I see all kinds of ram on ebay and I would like to find out if one these less expensive rams will work with no glitches. Kingston is one I see fairly often. Any help would be appreciated.

Kingston is perfectly OK, but what model Powerbook have you got?

I actually have a couple of questions. Please understand I am new to mac, so I will do my best to not ask to many stupid questions. I would like to know if you think I should upgrade my harddrive and/or processor. If so, do you have any suggestions.

For that computer you need DDR PC2700 RAM and supports a max of 2GB. You can find 1GB sticks for under $40 online, so you can max out the memory on your Mac for around $80, which isn't bad.

You aren't limited to any specific brand, you just need to get the correct specification, which is 200-pin DDR 333 SO-DIMM PC2700.

I would like o start by saying thank you for the information regarding my system. I was not trying to take advantage of anything. I am new to mac and also new to the site, I assumed posting in anything goes would have been the correct place for my question.
