Questions about keynote

What does everyone think about this program? How does it compare to powerpoint? I want to be able to do projects for school on it, but am concerned about how I am going to present them to the class. Would I have to just bring my laptop in and connect to the projector? Is there any way to convert the keynote to powerpoint format?

I know you are asking about Keynote, but I thought it was worth mentioning that NeoOffice is free and Microsoft Word would recognise a presentation created by NeoOffice & vice versa.

Yes I have heard of NeoOffice before and it sounds like something I should look into.
