I never backed up on my mac before and I'd like to back up some things such as all my preferences and bookmarks etc... and some text based work that I've done. I know you can back up files using .mac but I don't have a .mac account and don't really want to spend a hundred bucks to get one. I looked it up in help and it said to use the disc utility, but first to make the file that I want to back up an archieve. I did that and it converted it into a zip file, but then I couldn't burn it anyway.
Any type of help would be appreciated!!
