This article should help with the PLC. It covers several methods of moving things from the menu bar because different apps have different methods of putting an icon there. The first method probably works most consistently.

To add Carbon Copy Cloner to the menu bar open Carbon Copy Cloner and choose Settings from the settings menu. When the settings/preferences window appears choose "Dashboard". The menu bar preference is at the bottom of the list. Make sure the box it checked.

O've never experienced that issue but apparently, it is an issue with some MacBook models. Perhaps one of these articles will help.

Personally I ran out of space for Menubar items years ago when I started using iStat Menus so I started using Bartender, now Bartender 4.

Originally it was a relatively cheap "one off" purchase but I see it's price has gone up a bit since then,(around 4 years ago).

As you can see below it enables me to have two rows of MB icons with the top row always visible and the second row by clicking on the little bow tie and vest icon (Bartender), one of which is CCC.

There are some alternatives to Bartender which I have tried like Hidden Bar free on the App Store, try a search for "Hidden Bar" or iBar (a new one) you will see there are a few choices. iBar in particular seems to be made for the "notch" with a two line display, sadly it's a Chinese app and sounds a bit buggy.

Is it an issue? The warning says it "may" be hidden. Is it?

And why on the menu bar? They can be put on the Dock fairly easily.

Good point Jake, I really only have it on my menu bar because I can. Occasionally I wish to see if a recent backup has been completed successfully before ejecting the SSD but that's about it.

Can you make a screenshot of the whole screen and look to see if it's there, just hidden by the notch? The notch doesn't show in full screen shots. Shift-CMD-3 is the key combo.

About all I can suggest is to make the selection and then reboot the Mac to see if it gets put on the bar that way. Here is a shot of my menu bar:

Screenshot 2023-07-27 at 4.00.08 PM.jpg

It shows the "C" icon on the bar and the same warning that the notch might hide it, which it does not. The notch is to the left of the left-most icon on the bar.

So, it works, you just have to find out how to make it happen.

Just out of interest Jake, what System resolution are you using and perhapes more importantly, what size Menu Bar display? Mine is set to Large;

Screenshot 2023-07-28 at 8.28.03 am.png
My thinking is that not using default resolution and Menu Bar size may interfere with the ability to display more icons on the bar.
My Resolution is also set one size above default.
Consequently my Menu bar looks like this;

Finally I got CCC back on Menu Bar, Saw your screen above with a check on Start CCC's Dashboard on Login...Bingo, BUT the Players Location Check is still there, tried
dragging PLC off the screen but came back?? Any other??

Does PLC have a Settings area? If you launch PLC, and then click on the name on the top left of the menu bar, is there a "Settings" or "Preferences" option? If so, then maybe you need to go there to deselect having it show on the Top Bar.

There's no setting for PLC that I can find, I think its a location check when you play Poker online, had it for 2 yrs and for the first time its on Menu bar that dont want it there. I dragged it off and it works but now it wont..
