Is there a way to use the Profile Manager app with or without OSX Server to block porn and other unwanted content from mobile devices (iPhone, iPad, Macbook)?

Porn doesn't just come to a computer or mobile device un-beckoned. Might want to consider profiling the user rather than the device. :)

It sounds like what you want is some kind of proxy to filter for adult content on all of your devices. I'll bet you have kids that you don't want stumbling into anything untoward.

I don't know of any filtering software for OS X server that will do this, however, there is an excellent solution out there called K9 Web Protection that essentially accomplishes what I think you're seeking.

On the Macbook, K9 installs as a transparent service and filters all of your traffic through Blue Coat's proxy servers (Blue Coat is an enterprise-grade firewall/proxy service that is used by businesses to keep their employees away from nasty stuff).

On the iPhone/iPad/iPod Touch, you would install the K9 Web Protection Browser app and disable Safari in 'Restrictions'. In this way, you would simply use the K9 browser instead of Safari and get your filtering that way.

I have been using K9 on my kids' computers and iOS devices for quite a while now and it has yet to fail me - or even so much as cost me a cent. Highly recommended:
