• The Mac-Forums Community Guidelines (linked at the top of every forum) are very clear, we respect US law and court precedence when it comes to legality of activity.

    Therefore to clarify:
    • You may not discuss breaking DVD or BluRay encryption, copying, or "ripping" commercial, copy-protected DVDs.
    • This includes DVDs or BluRays you own. Even if you own the DVD or BluRay, it is still technically illegal under the DMCA to break the encryption. While some may argue otherwise, until the law is rewritten or the US Supreme Court strikes it down, we will adhere to the current intent of the law.
    • You may discuss ripping or copying unprotected movies or homemade DVDs.
    • You may discuss ripping or copying tools in the context that they are used for legal purposes as outlined in this post.

Everytime i attempt to install it, it works fine till the end. Then it redirects me to a redirect page on the internet, which then says i need to have Flashplayer 9 installed to see, leading me in circles. Does anyone know of a solution?

Clear your browser cache, then load that page again.

this still isnt working. i used safari, cleared cache, and tried to install it again, but got this mesage.
The page “Macromedia - Flash Player” has content of MIME type “application/x-shockwave-flash”, but you don’t have a plug-in installed for this MIME type. A plug-in should be available on this page:

https://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer

Do you want to open the page?

P.s. im trying to install the OSX version, in case it makes a diffrence.

It does, but there are two OS X versions.
What kind of Mac do you have? If you have a Mac purchased brand new in the last year, then you have an Intel Mac and need to install that player.
If you have a G5, G4 or G3 system, then you need to install the PPC version.

This same thing is happening to me. I was able to view flash movies before then suddenly, I can't. I have downloaded, uninstalled, downloaded, uninstalled flash player 10; then tried with 9; I can't get it to do anything. I get a message that it downloaded successfully, but it's not in my applications. I'm trying to view a video on Quicken.com but it says I need to install flash player. I'm going in circles, too. I'm on an iMac OsX Intel using safari 3.0.4
