Problem With My MacBook

About everyday at least once, my Macbook will freeze on me. The time in the top right corner will stop, and nothing will work. Why is this happening, I got the Macbook about two weeks ago brand new.

My system:

Mac OS X 10.4.9

Memory: 2 GB
Processor: 2 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
HD Space: 120GB

All I have running when it happens is Safari, iTunes, and Windows Live Messenger.

Take it to the Apple store and have them check it out.

I had the same problem with a Dell notebook a few years ago, but wasn't lucky enough to have a local store to walk to. Though, their customer support line is great, if you can speak Hindi and don't mind talking to a half-asleep guy because it's in the middle of the night where he is.
