Problem with HPIO Trap Monitor

Just bought a new I MAC and installed my HP PSC 2355 printer. After install, error message keeps coming up and not allowing me to finish. The error mesage says "The application HPIO Trap Monitor quit unexpectedly. Click to relaunch. Ignore or Report". It won't relaunch and click on ignore will not do anything. The error box just comes up. Can someone tell me what to do? Thanks.

download the new installer from hp

my guess is you have the 10.4 version not 10.5
