Problem enabling Password Autofill in Chrome.

I tried to sign on to a web page in Chrome on my iMac and get the following:
Enable Password AutoFIll
Click the toolbar button to enable the
iCloud Passwords extension for Chrome.

I checked my Chrome settings and see that it already is enabled. (I've checked several times)
What am I missing?
