Printing from Mail

Some emails printed from Mail are effectively unreadable for me as the font size is far too small (about 1 - 1.5mm) no matter which option I select in the printer window. How do I fix this to print in a readable size, please? I'm using a MacBook Pro 15" with OSX 10.8.5 and a Canon MG6360 printer on a wireless LAN

Save the mail first as text, or RTF, and then print it with TextEdit. TextEdit will allow you to adjust font, font size, style, and attributes such as bold, italic, etc.

I tried your recommendation and it works beautifully.

However, it surprises me that Apple didn't build this flexibility into the app in the first place and allow font sizes to be adjusted without going to this work around. Maybe one day….
