I have an iMac with Mavericks. I am trying to install a Samsung network printer. I obtained and installed the drivers and software from the Samsung website. When I try to add the printer it finds the printer on the network but then tries to download the drivers from Apple, but fails because Apple does not have the drivers. How can I stop this? I have installed this printer on 4 other iMac's, but they are all running earlier versions of OS X.

Which exact model printer?
I thought it was an iMac as I was doing this remotely. It is a Macbook. I have attached the details on a PDF, the printer is a Samsung C410 W.

To force OS X (CUPS printing system) to find drivers recently installed (plus those on Apple servers, when needed), Reset the Printing System:
