Pressing delete

I have the full wired keyboard for my MBP, and I was wondering, instead of pulling what I want to delete to the trash, is there some way I can just press delete and it'll do it automatically? I'm getting really tired of doing that.

You can just right-click any file and choose "move to trash" from the contextual menu.

Command-Delete will do the job for you. Take a look at File > Move to Trash.

You can also select the file and press command and delete simultaneously.

Wow I never knew I can do that, unfortunately it doesn't work with the 2nd delete button that isn't the backspace, but now I don't have to drag it all over the place. woohoo

I can't test it on my MacBook to be sure but I think that key works as a forward delete in most word processing programs.

FYI you can do a forward delete on a Mac laptop by pressing FN delete keys in case anyone was wondering.

FN-DEL. Got it. That's about the only thing I've been missing since coming over from Windows.
