OS X (Yosemite) keeps disabling my network connection to my third party cloud back up service when I'm away from my computer, even when I keep "wake up for network access" checked.
As far as I can tell, the power settings either allow you to turn off the hard drive when not in use, OR preserve connectivity during network use, but not both. In other words, I'd like to be able to instruct my iMac to preserve a connection during offsite backups over the internet, but turn off the hard drive when there's no such activity.
Did Apple really not think of this??
