I've had a MBP for about a year now; my first Mac. Now that I know the basics, it has become my primary home computer. So, I'm ready to get an external HD to run the first Time Machine backup. Now I've pretty much decided on the Seagate Free Agent Go or one of the WD Passports but what capacity? How to I prepare? How do I create an NTFS partition for a small amount of Windows stuff - say 60 GB worth. Also, I saw somewhere, that you can put the contents of the OSX startup disk on this external HD so that you can boot from it if necessary. Yall are the experts. My computer specs are below.
