I have an older PowerBook G4 that has begun running slowly. I still have 14GB on the hard drive...so I am not sure what the issue is. Can anyone tell me how to look for issues? I would also like to delete some files/applications that I do not need...but not sure how to see usage to determine if it is really not used.

thanks for any help

What are the specs on your machine (in particular the CPU speed, amount of RAM and current OS). If you're looking to free up space, I highly recommend Monolingual.

It could be as simple as repairing disk permissions using Disk Utility. That fixes a lot of slowdowns.
