yeah, I found that too, but I'm not sure which one it is as it doesn't really look like any of the pictures and there is no model no. besides what I said. I think those pics are just the processor itself. There's still no documentation up there, anyways, unfortunately.

Ok, I just got it now. Still nothing. I wonder (and hope) if it is just the battery. It only sometimes makes the mac startup sound, and I did read that some older macs wont boot at all with a dead pram bat. Wish there were more places that had them. I could just order it from otherworld, but I'd rather be able to just go pick it up for something like this. The only place I know might have it is radio shack, and they are $15! Maybe I will check some of the local dedicated battery shops.

New adapter didn't work, new battery gives same results. AAny other ideas? I'm not sure if the keystrokes that you mentioned worked or not.

I'm probably not going to put os X on it anymore because I am getting a new iBook now :), so I'll probably put linux on it (probably kubuntu since I already have cds for the ppc version) if I get it working now.

Do what you do in the PC world, remove the un needed items and give it a shot.

it could very well be your upgrade card, tweak the dials
