You can change that by using right-click on the download folder and select "folder"

Nothing special. Just the dock on my macbook, if I have time I'll show the dock on my Mac Pro (My true work computer) which has a much more intensive dock (lots of software that I need, a lot of freeware, a lot of pro apps and the adobe suite, plus some utilities I use often)
