Back to my old 2.2GHz C2D MB after selling my MBP and wondering what my next Mac will be :)
^^ Hey my tatted friend, look familiar? :D
I tried to get the black menu bar a few times, but it was doing my head in trying to get all the icons, clock, etc,. white on black.
I don't want to use something like iStat in order to.
I wish I was a Mac/Computer guru at times like that :)

I do it the hard way, but if you're not technical enough, do it the Docker way.

Otherwise, I go to:

Macintosh HD>System>Library>Core Services

-right click on Dock.app, choose "Show Package Contents"

Contents>Resources

Find the four "scurve" files and "frontline" to change the Dock color
Find the five "indicator" files and modify those to any color. You can also create a .jpg image (very small) and create your own indicators.

I use ColorUtility.app to modify the "scurve","frontline" and "indicator" files.

Here's an example of my current dock:

<See attached>

I have a few posts in here of my dock in different colors with different color indicators. Docker will do so much more though…I just like to keep the dock as Apple designed it, and just fool around with the coloring of it.

Here's mine, first time trying to "mod" the dock...how does everyone get different pictures for their "indicator" and changing stuff on the desktop...for example the Mac HD picture. I've seen some cool ones like the black one with white apple.

I've been having remote unpairing issues.... even after having numerous repairs, and furthermore, still having them after receiving a replacement Mac and remote.
I believe there is a flaw in the latest MBPs and iMacs, and nothing to do with the actual remotes, or the software, as I have tried my spare remote, and clean installs, and it still happens intermittently.
Heard of only 1 case of remote problems, which was a poster here with an iMac, and other than that, google led me nowhere, and my last MBP has Apple techs, going all the way up the chain, stumped.
In my last MBP, they changed the IR receiver and cables, and all the possible parts, and still no fix.
When the remote unpaired itself, my spare remote stopped working too, where as both remotes work with my MB booted off the clone of this MBP without any glitches.
I think remote issues will be something that starts rearing it's ugly head soon over the forums!
I actually added a third party software (driver) that I am testing called candelair to see if that makes a difference.

EDIT:

Wait. You've got Docker already then?
