please help me: what's wrong with my imac's audio?

I have a korg poly 800 and an intel duo imac
whenever i try to plug the korgs audio output into the mac's audio input all the sound (from itunes, firefox etc as well as logic, garageband etc) will cut out every so often randomly

i've tried plugging other things into the input and they work fine

what's wrong?
please help

Your Mac's Specs
Mac Pro, Power Mac G4, iMac G3, iPhone 3GS
It could be a bad jack on either side. The jack on the iMac could be damaged, or simply dirty. Try blowing it out with some canned air. If that isn't it, check the end of the wire you're using. It could be bad.
