Has anyone else had photos in albums disappear? The albums are empty, it probably happened when I converted to a new iPhone and I didn’t notice.

I had photos disappear in my albums. I can see the names of them, but their empty. I think this happened when I updated my phone one time. Is there anyway to get them back into the albums?

May I just clarify things on one point?
Are you talking about your iPhone exclusively? Not your Mac or iPad?
I kind of assumed that by your comment re "converting" to a new iPhone - but you also said updated my iPhone. iPhone specs - Model, storage, and version of iOS.

If you're missing photos or videos in the Photos app – Apple Support (UK)
Check places such as your Recently Deleted or Hidden albums, your Shared Library and iCloud Photos.
