The latest OSX Photo upgrade from iPhoto has really made a mess of my pictures. It has really messed up my 5000 pictures by labelling 90 percent of them as “Cyprus” and showing them as being taken in that country. I had one iPhoto event that was titled “Cyprus” and had about 50 pictures taken on vacation there.:Not-Amused:

Fussing about it won't fix it. Spend some time re-organizing them and call it a day. The way Photos works now makes a bit more sense once you adjust to it. All photos are listed by date taken, rather than labeling them as "events". The old way, "events" and "albums" were too similar in purpose. Or perhaps better said, each date was an "event" to itself, when in reality, an event you took photos of may have spanned multiple days, or you could have multiple events in one day. Sometimes there'd be random photos that aren't an "event", so calling them one was silly. So create albums that truly reflect an individual event, then drop the relevant photos into them. You can have the same photos in multiple albums if you see the need.
