can we add that the picture must be from the month of May 2010 to the rules?

I think I took that out a while ago being that there is no way to really enforce members to follow it. But if others agree with you, we can add it back in.

Taken yesterday - I'm sorry but I have to share this and include 2 photos to explain what went on

I saw a peregrine on our garden room and managed to get a few shots at extreme zoom.
The next thing (after I had put the camera away), the bird flew off and I saw a pair of black ears, then a head appear up on the far edge of the roof.
They then disappeared suddenly as the cat fell off (!!), but it didn't give up and eventually got onto the roof to secure lunch.

I've tried to cut out any gorey bits

Cheers :)

I took this last night off my back patio...I pick a place in the sky, set a long exposure and cover the lens when I think I got something...kind of like fishing.

That cat looks like it is saying "what do you want?"

Beautiful bird though. (The Peregrine)

Shame the photos didn't come out better, but I realise now it was because I had the camera pressed firmly against a double glazed window to stop shake at such range, and that affected the quality.

I think the cat was lkeeping a wary eye out for the peregrine sitting in the trees above.

Cheers :)

this is Navy Pier in Chicago. Taken from the Ferris Wheel. Went there yesterday for the USO Armed Forces Day Celebration.

A fun shot from a Civil War reenactment we shot this weekend. The horses were pretty impressive!
