This was taken at least 4 years ago with my Canon S3IS. I wish I had taken it with my current Nikon though, as it's clear to see the compression artifacting all over the place. I didn't add any noise reduction, only converted to B&W and added some tone adjustments. All in Lightroom. Oh, the border was also added in LR. I could probably improve it a bit more, but don't feel much like fidgeting right now.

I was going for a rustic wood shed look lol..... actually the props were already there lol my sb900 added a nice shadow effect i set it on the side solo with a diffuser...

Meh @ "rule of thirds". Sure, photos with the rule followed usually feel a bit more comfortable, but relying on them solely based on principle makes me feel a bit like a robot. I never purposefully follow that rule. Though I never purposefully break it, either.

That said, the rule of thirds breakage on that shot doesn't concern me, but the cropping off of the head (whether composed in cam or in post) does.
