pc game & new mac?

(switched to mac over 6 months and i'm still asking questions most non-mac users would know )

I recently dug up a CD for a PC game I was interested in playing, is it simply not gonna work for me now (macbook pro, OSX 10.4.9) or are there ways around it? if so how

bootcamp should work, but that's a lot of trouble to go to for one game.

which game is it and what are the requirements?

use either bootcamp or paralells as a mac cant run windows apps
