Hi everyone,

I installed parallels so I could use my business software that was PC only. This was great except I can't print anything, so i'm screwed.

I did a little research and found that 'Bonjour Printer Wizard' may be the answer.

So I tried Bonjour but it still doesn't work. I think its because I am using a Lexmark X5470.

Has anyone managed to do this successfully, or has a great workaround that I could use.

If I can get it to print I would probably have to buy a PC to run work stuff which would pretty much make my mac redundant. I don't remember reading this issue before I bought Parallels.

Please Help:eek:neye:

First you need to install your printer software on windows ( I assume you are using Windows). Then go to the Devices Menu>USB>click on your printer. Then Windows will find it and try to install it once again. You should then be able to print.

Ive set Parallels as shared USB so it is more complicated than a simple install.

I need to somehow network them. But it just wont install on XP.

Check out parallels web site and download their user guide. It probably says in there.

Your Mac's Specs
MacPro 2.66gHz, 5gb RAM
similar problem

I haven't been able to access my printers (HP, R220, R2400) or any of four external USB & firewire hard drives from Windows 2000 running under Parallels. I'm using a 2.66gHz MacPro with Windows 2000 under Parallels.

I installed Bonjour under the Mac OS. The instructions didn't say WHETHER TO INSTALL BONJOUR UNDER MAC OR WINDOWS OS so I assumed Mac and proceeded to install on the Mac side. The HP printer was turned on and connected to a USB port. When activating Parallels, I saw a Bonjour Icon on the desktop so I attempted to add the HP printer. It found no printers and asked for a printer name, whether networked or not, etc. I had no clue and gave up (again).

Could someone give me the next steps to do this. I'd installed the HP printer drivers on the Mac and Windows side months ago. All three printers work fine with the Mac OS but I still have nothing for Windows. If no one has suggestions, I'll re-install the HP driver under Windows 2000 and see if Bonjour can find the printer.

Under Parallels go to devices and see if your printers are listed, if so click one and see if Parallels will connect to it.
