I am getting either a Macbook or MB Pro in the near future and will be purchasing Parallels and I just have a few quick questions.

1. I am planning on purchasing an OEM version of XP from Newegg, is there a chance that they are going to stop selling them soon? Should I just buy it now even if I don't buy a MB for a month or so?

2. With XP I will not be doing any gaming, etc., mostly just using some digital libraries that only run in Windows. When installing Parallels do I have to set aside a certain amount of my HD, or is that only for Bootcamp. If I do, what is the recommended amount?

Thanks for any help.

That's not really something most people could answer as that would be up to the store, however if they do stop selling them you are bound to pick up a cheap copy on any auction site out there.

Parallels works by creating a Virtual Machine so in theory your Hard Drive can be as big or close enough to your OSX Hard Drive, there are settings for the Virtual Machine where by you can set the RAM, Hard Drive Space and also any USB Connected Devices, etc that it should use

I hope that Helps

Thanks for your answer. I realize that MS will not announce "no more XP OEM's", but sometimes people hear things.
