When I create a document in pages with graphics and print to PDF the size of the PDF file is pretty large. Is there a way to reduce the size for web posting?
If you have the full version of Acrobat you use the "Reduce file size" in the Documents menu.
Otherwise, there is also a compress file command when creating a PDF-file using the Print command if that helps.
The document is for print and website. It is a newsletter. I only use gifs and jpgs and reduce them as much as possible before inserting. When Pages prints to PDF it does not print the same as Adobe Acrobat full version did in Windows
OK, it might be the GIFs that are problematic. Any chance you can convert those to JPGs?
See attached. Not sure if will do much if you have a lot of pictures though.
???
The gifs are smaller than jpgs
I don't have that option on my drop down
Hmmmm.... that's unusual. I know GIF has some compression, but I didn't think it was as efficient as JPG.
