Boom! That's what it looked like. Ironic because my very next step was going to Apple's support page and installing the combo update. I actually already had it open in another tab just now but was still weighing in my mind if I wanted to spend more time attempting the update and possibly having to restore again. That's like 2 hours of my day already shot. But maybe I'll make the leap of faith... Maybe tomorrow...

Good news, the combo update worked. I downloaded directly from Apple's support page here.
So glad this did the trick because I was getting tired of restoring my MBP. :)

FYI: It was a 1.36GB file.
