os 10.6.8 using install disc

I have a 2009 imac with 10.6.8. I somehow lost iphoto and thought I lost my install disc. I found it today. If I use it what will happen? Will I get iphoto back?

nope mostlikely iphoto is on a ilife disk somewhere else try it and see if its a part of the disk the disk will have a optional installs packed on it if not then no it won't

I'm pretty sure that when I loaded 10.6 from a retail disc it upgraded iPhoto.

I have install discs 1 and 2. Could iPhoto be on one of those?

I don't want to do something that's going to screw everything up.

Yes, your applications are on disk number 2.
