"Original poster" or "Thread starter" badge?

On several forums I frequent, the software puts an "Original poster" or "Thread starter" badge either under the posters info to the left of their post or on the top header section of their post. I find this very useful once threads start getting longer. Does the current forum software have that option and if so can we start using that?

Interesting idea. There aren't many forums That I visit regularly, and I don't remember any of them having that feature. There are some threads here that might benefit from such a feature.

Actually, @usagora is correct. The other Mac forum I frequent does this (they also use the XenForo software) and I'm sure many others do likewise. It's a good suggestion that we can ponder. It will likely require a change to our software.
