I don't remember this being an issue before Catalina, but when I'm selecting chunks of text on a line, and the next chunk happens to include everything to the beginning of the line (spaces or whatever), it will also select the newline at the end of the previous line, and sometimes a piece of text on the previous line. This happens on different apps, which is why I'm posting here.
I know I can use Command + Shift + Left to select everything to the beginning of the line, but sometimes I don't know when I need to do that when I'm using Option + Shift + Left... so it can become maddening.
Is this a Mac thing? Was this different before? I'm just trying to better understand how Mac text selection works, because I already understand it pretty well on Windows even though I think it has more quirks and annoyances.
