Hi guys,

Since I started working in publishing, I've been converted to the joys of the mac. Now I've got my own for personal use, I understandably want to make sure it's safe. I've done some research, but I can't seem to find out what other Mac users think are worthwhile.

Having spent years running as much freeware as poss on my old (rubbish) PC, I'd quite like to use an opensource/shareware app now too.

So guys, what do you recommend and why?

Yep, felt nekkid after Windows.. you will get used to it.
Your Mac is immune to Windows malware of any sort.

Version Tracker is your friend for software both free and shareware.

Cool... Thanks for the tip – you're right, do feel quite wary but I'm sure that will fade with time. Maybe I just need to embrace the mac naturist ideals, and I'll feel a lot better!
