opening online videos

I cannot open a video located on an URL that takes me directly to it. But it works fine on my wifes mac.

Does the site tell you to load Adobe Flash, Microsoft Silverlight, Java, or anything? Sounds like you are missing one of those components.

Most likely a flash issue. Mine is up to date and it plays ok. Might be worth trying to download and install the latest flash from adobe.com.

I updated but still no luck. What I get is spinning white "gear" that will go forever until I press the play symbol. Then I get a 15 sec commercial. Then back to the pic w/o a "play button."
