I recently suffered a mini stroke as a result of which I am unable to drive.

The result of that is that I am unable to meet up with my Brother in law for our weekly chess session.

Can anyone recommend a good program free or not which allows for a timed game to be played online?

I have an iMac - he has an iPad.

Many thanks

Many thanks for your reply pm-r (post-modernist-revisionist? - no, of course not, silly me)

Yes, I did a Google and looked at the App Store. Naturally, they all sing their own praises.... I really wondered if anyone had had experience of any of them and could recommend a particular version or mention ones to avoid....

On the health front, I find that I get quite tired, but the doctor reckons that is quite normal and other indications - blood pressure etc are encouraging.

Cheers M

Hi Mitcherooney, and I'm glad you're recovering well.

No I'm not a post-modernist-revisionist, whatever that is. ;) the pm-r is just my name's initials with the last name being hyphenated that I inherited from my English parents.

Did you look into or try the Mac's builtin Chess game that you could use with your chess mate? I haven't or tried, but the price is right. ;D

Give it a whirl and then you can be our expert reviewer. ;)
