hempomatic, My old iMac late 2007 with a Lowly 2.4Ghz C2D takes at the most 30 seconds for a desktop if that and it 100% useable in a few more seconds. Something is very wrong there.

Agreed. It's just a matter of getting the Mac gurus to come to the same conclusion and actually DO something about it. Every problem I had originally still exists after what would have been a repair bill of almost $500 bucks.
